Security
Your recordings are private, your data is secure, and you control deletion.
Encrypted transit
All traffic between your browser and Audiote is transmitted over HTTPS/TLS. Audio uploads, playback URLs, and API calls are all encrypted in transit.
Secure cloud infrastructure
Audio files and app data are stored in cloud services with access controls. Playback URLs are signed and expire after 30 minutes.
Google authentication
Audiote uses Google Sign-In via Clerk. We never handle passwords. Authentication is managed by Google and Clerk, two trusted identity providers.
Private by default
All recordings are private to your workspace. There are no public links. To access any recording, a user must be authenticated and have workspace membership.
You control your data
Delete any recording at any time. Deletion is permanent and removes the audio file, transcript, notes, and all associated data. You can request full account deletion by emailing us.
What we do not claim
- We are not SOC 2 certified (not yet).
- We are not HIPAA compliant. Do not use Audiote for protected health information.
- We are a small product and security is our priority, but we cannot guarantee zero breaches.
