Uploads guide
Supported formats
Audiote accepts the following audio formats:
Video files are not supported. If you upload a video file, it will be rejected.
How to upload
On your workspace home or project page, click the Upload button. Select an audio file from your device. The upload starts immediately and a row for the recording appears right away.
Keep the tab open until upload finishes. You can continue using the app while processing runs.
What happens after upload
- The recording row appears immediately with a Saving status.
- The audio file uploads to the cloud in the background.
- When the upload completes, processing starts if transcription is requested.
- The status becomes Ready when processing is complete.
- AI-generated name and summary appear shortly after transcription.
Upload and quotas
Uploads count against your monthly recording quota based on audio duration. If you are close to your monthly limit, very long uploads may be rejected before transcription begins.
Audiote attempts to detect the audio duration from file metadata before transcribing to avoid charging quota for files that exceed your remaining allowance.
Troubleshooting
If your upload shows "Needs attention":
- The audio may have been saved but transcription failed. Use the Retry button.
- If the retry does not work, the file format may have an issue. Try re-exporting from your recording app.
- Contact support if the issue persists.
